Chemetall, a division of Rockwood Specialties, is a leading specialty chemical company whose quality, innovation and service exceeds the expectations of our customers.
The Technical Sales Manager represents the Company by contacting established and prospective customers in an assigned territory for the purpose of selling the Companys industrial cleaning and surface treatment chemicals (pre-treatment and metalworking). Incumbent provides a complete sales service which ensures safe product performance. Position is responsible for maximizing territory profitability by managing product (technology) mix, customer mix and contribution margin dollars for the territory. We are looking for candidates across the US who are interested in joining our extraordinary sales team.
A BS degree (preferably in a science), or the equivalent training or experience is required. 2+ years of industrial sales experience, with an emphasis in surface treatment or metalworking needed. Proven ability to deliver sales presentations and follow up with written proposals required. Candidates must have experience and organization with sales planning and territory management skills. Strong motivation, high-energy, and enthusiasm required. Must be a self-starter with the ability to overcome customer objections. Some overnight travel required within territory.
Proficiency in using MS Word, Excel, and Power Point required. Lotus-Notes experience a strong plus.
